We Need You
Community
Montclair Families are essential to the success of our students. Montclair staff and families work in partnership to open up understanding and connections for our students. There are many opportunities for families to both support the school and be in community with one another. The Parent Teacher Association has a General Assembly on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, 6:30-8 p.m. in the Bloom Cafeteria. This is a wonderful place to learn about the efforts to lift up Montclair and connect with other families.
We now use Konstella for communications, sign-ups and more from the Parent Teacher Association, Room Reps, and other PTA-affiliated groups.
To login to Konstella visit KONSTELLA or use the Konstella App (in both the iOS and Android App Stores)
To sign-up for Konstella follow this link: SIGN UP or use the Konstella App and the invitation code UPURUY

Volunteering
Show your #otterlove. Please volunteer.
Anyone can volunteer as a visitor in all-school projects that do not involve contact with students (like helping in the office). There are volunteer tasks posted on the principal’s office door in the main office.
If you are interested in volunteering with students, please coordinate with the teacher involved and go through the clearance process.
Before parents are able to volunteer in classes, clearance is required per OUSD volunteer policy which includes DOJ/FBI Fingerprint and Megan’s Law Clearance.
Register to become a volunteer
Check the status of your volunteer clearance
Once you complete the registration, you will receive an immediate email with clearance instructions from osv@oaklandedfund.org.
Parents/guardians have 2 different options to volunteer:
-
Supervised – Must be supervised by an OUSD employee and need to be registered. Example of this would be hosting zoom session with your teacher being in the session.
-
Unsupervised – Receive an ID badge to indicate clearance to volunteer without being supervised by an OUSD employee. Registration and fingerprints required. Upon registration you will receive instructions for this and teachers will need to be provided with your clearance status. Example would be if you plan to host a book club or social group with students from your child’s class without the teacher being in the zoom session.
